Signal Integrity means the capability of responding from signal in the correct time frequency and voltage. Delay means when the signal is transmitting on the high density printed circuit board reverse engineering, with limited speed, signal set out from transmitting terminal to the receiving terminal, there is a transmitting delay in the process. Signal transmitting delay will cause the effect on the system time frequency, also in the high speed digital system, transmitting delay is mainly depends on the length of circuit wire and dielectric constant around the tracks.

Besides, when the featured impedance and overload resistance can’t match each other, part of the energy from signal will return alongside with transmitting line after the arrival of receiving terminal, makes the signal waveform distorted, even emerge the signal overflow or down flow. If the signal can be reflected from the transmitting line, it will cause the vibration and circle oscillation.

As we all know, mutual capacitance and mutual inductance exists among anyone of the two capacitors and tracks, when the signals on one of the capacitor or wires have changed, it is variation will affect other parts and wire through mutual capacitance or mutual inductance which need to be solved by PCB reverse engineering, in other word, that is crosstalk, the strength of crosstalk can depends on the dimension physical distance among the components and tracks.
